Set up Muse with the least access that works, then give it first-pass schedules, revision checks, permit research, festival tracking and notes, with stop points and a weekly review.
What you will be able to do
- Decide if Muse fits your work: Check who can use it, the plans (Free with a usage limit, Power $20/month, Maximum $100/month as of 2026-10-28) and the limits, including no team workspace and no Adobe connector. Then confirm the details on Meta's official pages, because they change.
- Set it up on safe-start settings: Use a separate Meta account for work, turn off Help improve our AI models in Data controls, set connectors and web access to Always ask, answer approvals with Allow once, and keep one side chat and clean memory for each production.
- Connect only what a task needs: Get the production's approval, then connect Calendar, Gmail, Slack, Box or Dropbox one at a time, read-only where it's offered. Full scripts, footage, performer releases and crew personal data stay out of Muse.
- Write prompts with edges: Each prompt sets the remit, the hard line, the output format and the stop points. Muse marks any availability, cost, permit or safety detail it couldn't verify as [CHECK].
- Run standing tasks for prep, festivals and post: A first-pass schedule from a dialogue-free scene list, a weekly script-revision check that waits for the script supervisor, permit research, a festival deadline tracker and a consolidated notes list for one named cut.
- Review and correct what it did: Each week, check the Activity log, Upcoming, Allowed websites, connectors and Memory, and correct, pause or remove anything that went beyond what you approved.
