Set up Manus with the least access that works, brief it on shot lists, reference research, shoot prep and change logs, and check its output before a client or a file depends on it.
What you will be able to do
- Know which jobs to hand over: Decide whether a creative job suits Manus based on what it can and can't reach. As of October 28, 2026 it has no Adobe connector and doesn't open PSD, AI, PRPROJ or Lightroom catalogue files through any documented feature. You'll also weigh plans and credits, regional availability and who runs Manus today, and check manus.im/pricing before you commit.
- Set it up with the least access that works: Build a Project with a master instruction for one client job. Limit My Computer to a working-copy folder with Allow Once, use read-only connectors only and review Cloud Browser login storage. Keep confidential or unreleased client assets off Free and Pro plans.
- Write briefs that make it ask, not guess: Write a long-task brief that names the goal, context, sources, limits, phases, stop points and output format. Manus then proposes a plan in Plan Mode, asks about missing inputs and returns a source table and a list of open questions.
- Run four real creative projects: Turn a brief into a shot list and an asset record with release and permission flags. Turn reference research into a direction memo. Prepare a shoot on a working copy, with a rename proposal, CSV catalogue, contact sheet and metadata. Turn scattered feedback into a change log, then build a case-study deck or a site that you preview and don't publish.
- Schedule routine work and share it carefully: Set up a recurring task, such as a weekly change-log summary, with Skip confirmations off. Share tasks with teammates and free Guest reviewers on a Team plan, and know who can see what.
- Check the output before anyone relies on it: Replay the session, open every file, test a sample of sources and compare the result with the brief and asset record. Keep visual acceptance, permissions and technical completeness as separate checks. Only a named person signs them off.
