Set up Manus with least access, then hand it variance commentary, KPI packs, peer benchmarks and receivables watches. Tie out every figure before anyone relies on it.

What you will be able to do

  • Decide whether a task belongs in Manus: Sort your finance work into fits, fits with conditions and out of bounds. Choose the minimum plan and data treatment for each task, using access, plans, credit rules, data handling and the 2026 ownership changes as of October 2026, and confirm current details on Manus's official pricing and help pages.
  • Set up a workspace with least access: Use a Team plan for confidential data and read-only connector scopes such as Google Sheets set to Read. Turn off Cloud Browser login storage, keep Skip confirmations off and leave payment and publishing connectors unconnected. You'll also write down what your team never uploads.
  • Write briefs Manus can run as long tasks: Fix period, entity, currency, units, sources, materiality and stop-and-ask checkpoints in a brief or a Project master instruction. Approve the plan in Plan Mode before Manus builds anything.
  • Produce four finance deliverables: Build monthly variance commentary that keeps measured variances apart from unproven explanations, a recurring KPI pack exported to .pptx or .xlsx, a peer benchmark from public filings with a reference for each figure, and a draft invoice-intake or receivables summary for review.
  • Run recurring work and share it safely: Schedule a weekly or monthly task, read its run history and test it against a duplicate, a renamed column and a missing period. Share work through roles, Guest reviewers and Team-only access, with approvals kept by named owners.
  • Check output before release: Replay the session, sample sources, rebuild totals from exported formulas, open every file and record who signed off. Sign only what ties out.
